Dress: Wild Souls Panama Hat: H&M Bracelets: J Paige Necklace: BaubleBar Shoes: Tory Burch Sunnies: ASOS (similar)

When you think of summer, you think of barbecues, friend time, the beach, panama hats, easy breezy dresses, cool nights and ice cream cones. Naturally, when I saw this adorable ruffle number I knew it was the perfect little summer dress. Sometimes its necessary to get a little silly and wear a fun print!

One thing I am just a tad bit obsessed with is the panama hat. The larger, the better! Such a fun way to beat the heat, and look uber cute doing it. Helps with those after beach hair days too. And obvi, you can never go wrong with a giant stack of bracelets.

How do y'all stay fun and whimsical during the summer months? Do you ever play with cheeky prints?

tres cool.

Tee: H&M Pants: H&M (similar) Shoes: Ancient (not similar, but I'm in love) Necklace: BaubleBar (another fav) Sunnies: Forever 21(similar)

There are very few times in my life I genuinely feel cool. Like I could go anywhere and do anything and look like that girl who has it all together. That girl who looks so put together, but you just know it took her five minutes in the morning to make that look happen. The one who can wear a tee and jeans and actually look as cool as Jennifer Aniston or Jessica Alba. Now that I think about it, I don't think I will ever be cool. I plan my outfits way to far in advance and if I don't have some kind of jewelry on I feel like I should crawl back in bed and just shut out the world.

So....when I found this tee on H&M I thought okay if my shirt says I'm cool maybe it will fake some people out. Graphic tees are making such a statement right now. Another one I've GOT TO HAVE has a little bit of sass

And a little muscle tee never hurt nobody.

How do y'all feel cool?

Dress: H&M Sandals: Tory Burch Scarf: Wild Souls Sunnies: Forever 21 (similar)

When it comes to favorites in my closet, staples I just can't seem to live without stripes and scarves are among the few. I love all stripes anything. Dresses. Tops. Shorts. Navy & white. Bright mix of colors. Black & white. You name it, I love and want it. This dress was an obvious choice. Super comfy, super flattering shape. I mean, how can you go wrong?!

Now y'all, I have to tell you about this company, Wild Souls. If you want some super cute and reasonably priced trendy pieces, this is the way to go! I absolutely LOVE finding online boutiques where I can satisfy my craving for adorable items. While searching the Wild Souls site....boom there was this scarf?! How fun is that?

Be on the lookout for a few more things I snagged from them! Hint....there may or may not be a dress in my closet that has ice cream cones on it. Hello summer time!

Dress: H&M Shoes: Old (similar) Sunnies: Guess (similar)

Sometimes pieces make their way into your closet on a whim. I often find my favorite items are the ones that were impulse buys. A few weeks ago, I had an impromptu H&M retail therapy sesh. I find these shopping binges increase happiness and make you feel better. Plus...it's like christmas when you get the giant box in the mail. (Just don't look at your bank account....)

I originally chose this dress because of the price. Y'all it is $19.95. If that isn't reason enough to make this baby yours...you've got some serious probs. However, I will say. If you are at all scared of making a statement, tread lightly. This ruffle is a bit out of control. But I love a good conversation starter.

Let's go dancin'.

Savannah Fashion Week.

Last week I had the pleasure of attending my very first fashion show! It was everything I thought it would be...and SO much more! I ended up getting a press pass, with my very own seat (with my name!!) and felt like a legit blogger. It was such a cool experience. I even met up with my blogger gal, Taylor, and we snuck into some pretty fab seats. Sorry not sorry. In addition to all the fabulous fashion, over two hours of it, the bumpin' music I couldn't help but jam to, and the critiques of each outfit....we sat in gawking distance of former Project Runway contestants, Mitchell Hall and April Johnston. EEK.

These are a few of my favorite looks. You can ask Taylor...I was literally DYING for the all gray number with the polka dot top. Hello Mary-Kate & Ashley bag lady chic. Swoon.

Check back tomorrow for the show through my iPhone. Some candid shots and how I actually saw the show!

Top: Anthropologie Jeans: Old Navy Shoes: No clue (similar) Clutch: GiGi NewYork
Necklace: BaubleBar (similar) Sunnies: Guess (similar)
Nails: Essie Fruit Sangria (The Style Hunter shade)

Few things make me genuinely, incredibly excited.

--A huge glass of sweet tea, after I haven't had it in a long time.

--When I swipe on a bright lip and instantly feel pulled together.

--Chips, queso and a marg with my best friends. And gossip. Lots of it.

--When my nails have dried completely and there is not a smudge to be found.

Another thing that makes me truly happy....something you see on the hanger at a store that is just so incredible that you just have to have it or you know you will just die. You appreciate the art like way it hangs, or the way the store has styled in on the mannequin and you just sit back and say...I would hang out with that girl.

Then the panic sets in, you want to try it on but what if it doesn't look like what you thought and your dreams will be crushed. That is how it was for me with this peplum. I about died right there in Anthropologie when I laid my eyeballs on it. I grabbed a small and headed to the dressing room. It was perfect for that St. Patrick's Day statement top. When I got in the dressing room, however, the gal crushed my spirit for a minute. She said it runs huge, and the girl in the dressing room next to me had the extra small. With the giant top on, I had to wait impatiently for the other girl to get there and try it on. Thankfully, the St. Patty's Day gods were shining down on me and it became MINE!

Sometimes you gotta be a bit pushy and go after what you want. Especially when the peplum literally stands on its own and does not move. That is called the jackpot ladies.
