spice up your life.

Let me just preface this post by saying I was graced with the presence of one of my oldest friends. I'm talking old school summer camp besties. She was and still is, a gal who lights up every room she steps in, and has not changed at all after all these years. Anytime I see her, she's there calling me Emmy and it feels like we are back in the back treehouse at Pacer sneakily playing truth or dare, talking about what boys we liked, or practicing our latest Spice Girls routine the 5 of us were going to perform. And if you were wondering, I was Ginger Spice. Complete with red lips and matching velcro platform shoes. (insert peace sign emoji here)

We did all things classic blogger.

1. Smile at the camera. Slightly angled, or hands in pockets. Something to make the outfit pop off the page. Instead of just awkwardly standing straight up.

2. The look at each other, or in the distance and smile or giggle. (We did a lot of that one)

3. Look down at your shoes, while still looking amused and super happy.

4. The close up shot of the accessories. Especially if they are stacked. Or are the main focus of the look.

5. And of course, walking. Or as I like to call it....the blogger strut. Because, you have to be aware at all times of what the outfit is doing.

Sometimes you just have to treat yourselves. In whatever way you decide, however will just make your soul feel good. For me this has always been shopping. Sometimes just browsing beautiful windows while drifting down Broughton Street downtown will do the trick. Other times....the card has to have a workout in order for me to get out of a funk.

A couple of Saturdays ago, this gal's card got quite the slim-down. I honestly could not tell you the last time I went out, by myself, and just had a "me" day. One of those days that is needed after that dumb boy is dumb again, or you just literally can't understand how some people can be so petty and mean, or the product of a hectic work week. A day to get over all that drama, that really shouldn't bother you, but you're only human (and a girl) so of course it does!

I mean, hello...those kind of things bring stress, which brings the sleepless nights, which then brings bags under your eyes. Which is just not ok. The only bags I need after situations like that, contain baubles. Le duh.

So, this particular day, I went to my Pure Barre class (so I worked out too I guess), then indulged in a little retail therapy and got a mani/pedi combo. To say it was a fabulous day would be an understatement.

What do y'all do to unwind, or get over something that was so silly to get worked up over in the first place?

this chaos I call life.

Let me start off by saying I am a terrible blogger. But with weeks filled with getting the hang of my new job, and weekends jam packed with traveling....it makes fitting in blog time a bit of a pickle.

So, during this little hiatus I have unexpected taken from blogging, I have tried to fit in time to at least think about my blogging goals. And so, to you my lovely, completely gorg and loyal readers I give you these blogger vows.

I vow to always post something daily that is meaningful, or completely pointless that I just feel I need to share with the world. The very small world that reads my silly antics.

I vow to experiment with my blogger model poses. Obvi not taking myself seriously, but still realizing that at least some people like to look at what I'm wearing, so the least I can do is take it seriously.

I vow to bring more unusual, and exciting brands to the blog.

I vow to treat the blog as a second job.

I vow to be a better planner.

(If you couldn't tell, I watched The Vow recently....oh hay Channing Tatum.)

Here are some snapshots from what I've been up to.
