With My Peeps.

For as long as I can remember, every major holiday has been held at my house. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving...even some family birthdays are celebrated in my almost 100 year old house. We have lived there since I was 2 years old, and I wouldn't want to have it any other way.

This past Easter was no different. My mom's side of the family came over for all the fixin's, including homemade mac & cheese, 9-layer chocolate cake and banana pudding. Side note, I don't eat very many desserts, including these, but they are staples at our holidays. Never fear, chocolate eggs with caramel inside were my dessert. My weakness.

Here are a few snaps from the day. These are a huge deal, since as a family we are really bad at taking pictures. When the kids were young, we had what seems like an endless supply of random memories captured. But with age has come a time where we just don't do it at the same pace, so it's nice to have some every once in a while. With the same background I've had for 20+ years. (Man, I'm old).

The ladies. Me, Mom, my Sister, Nannie, my cousin Ansley & my Aunt Pam.

Dad and his daughters. Clearly I'm the sane one.

A rare family shot.

We were laughing at my grandmother, Nannie, taking a video instead of a picture with her iPhone.

I can't get over this dress from (insert shocked face) J. Crew. It is sheer perfection.

  1. That is a gorgeous dress. And your Easter feast sounds delicious. I can never say no to homemade mac n cheese. And at least your grandma can use an iPhone. Mine wouldn't have a clue!
