Inside My Chaotic Life.

So, I've been in the same house since I was two, so this height chart in my closet is super cool. Clearly I haven't changed much since 2003/ 2005. Sad day. 

Much like my eclectic wardrobe, I like for my room to feel like it has taken years to create. It is of course, an extension of myself. A little all over the place, with pops of color and things everywhere. As crazy as it might seem, it actually does make sense. Organized chaos I like to think of it as. Although my mother would have a very different opinion. 

As I said before, my family has lived in the same house since I was about two, and since I decided to move back to my hometown from the ATL almost two years ago (EEEK!), I have moved back into my childhood room. Which, on the one hand is really cool and is home to some fabulous memories like Mary-Kate & Ashley movies with my sister, having literally every family Christmas at my house and rollerblading in the living room, around the kitchen and in the hallway. All great things. However, since I've been back there are some drawbacks as well. Like the closet. When they were building closets back in the 20's, they clearly did not think about the 21st century blogger gal who has to have options. 

Which is why I have had to get creative in my "organization" methods. Wicker baskets hold my denim, a thrifted cupcake stand houses my bracelets and trays from Home Goods pull the whole look together. 

I love colorful accessories, and really do enjoy showcasing them as part of my bedroom decor. I may, however, after taking these shots, invest in some lucite gear from GlamBoxes.

Happy Valentine's Eve! Is that a thing?! Well today decided to be absolutely freezing just about everywhere, yes #NYFW gals I'm talking about you. While there is a HUGE part of me having a major FOMO moment about not galavanting to the Kate Spade presentation, sipping champs with my pal Brad, I am not jealous at all about y'all's temps! EEPP! 

For this southern girl, the weather down here is cold enough. Like for reals, I was going to wear this adorbs cut-out sweater for my date with Mr. Grey tonight, but I think my shoulders might freeze off. Looks like my brand new blanket scarf from Aerie will make its debut. Thats right ladies, after what seems like an eternity, I have finally jumped on the bandwagon. Toot, toot. At least mine was on sale, for less than $15! Boop.

As the most romantic day of the year fast approaches, it is easy to get caught up in the hoopla of it all. It doesn't matter if you're taken, single or have absolutely no clue what the heck you are because he is being scared or sketch or a boy, we can all get the FOMO syndrome. Where you think the grass might just be greener on the other side. 

I won't lie, as an eternally single gal (going on like six years y'all), I definitely see those lovey-dovey couples and part of me is like aw man, when's that gonna happen to me? Or why doesn't anyone want to hold my hand??! I use good smelling lotion!? I like to think I'm a pretty confident chick with the "I Don't Need A Man" mentality, but I'm only human y'all. 

But the thing we must remember, regardless of our relationship status this Valentine's Day is to "be you", much like my tank says in today's post! Coincidence?! Which is super cheesy, but whatevs. It's true! 

And to make sure to have a blast, whether its with your main squeeze, or a gaggle of best friends. I can promise I will be having all kinds of fun with my date. Pizza, girlfriends & Mr. Grey.

A Little Leather Never Hurt No One.

Funny story about how this look came about. Everyone has them, those friends who you just click with. Right off the bat. You might bond over failed relationships, a similar childhood or fashion. Something that links the two of you and makes you feel like you've known each other so much longer than the few moments you actually share. 

While out on a fun filled girl shopping day with one of my brand new besties, we ventured into Forever 21 to see what kind of chaos we would have to sift through. We ended up taking many things into the fitting room, and literally both left with this sweater and leather shift skirt. I mean, all brand new best friends need matching outfits right?! 

Behind the Scenes: Diana Warner Showroom

So basically, the beginning of last week was a whirlwind. Two fridays ago I got an email with an absolutely amazing opportunity that the blogger in me just could not pass up. I immediately texted my college friends and told them of my plans, which obvi they were PSYCHED!  So that next Monday I jumped in my little ole Honda and made a solo road trip to the A. After a couple days reliving my Atlanta life, I got to go to the brand new Diana Warner showroom at AmericasMart Atlanta! Which is basically where buyers can go to get the top brands from around the world all in one place.  

To be able to go at all was an exciting moment for me in my blogging career. It was my first time meeting one-on-one with a designer, so I was a little bit nervous and could not even contain myself while just trying to navigate where the heck to go. There are like 12 million floors to the Mart, and even more parking decks! 

The actual experience was even more amazing than I had imagined! I figured I would be there for an hour or so, have a couple minutes with Diana, try on some baubles, take some pictures and then they would, lovingly of course, send me on my little fashionable way. Three hours later, I had to make myself leave. I totes could have stayed and helped hang earrings, organize bags and size the Bamboo tees but a gal's gotta drive back to Savannah. Here are some behind the scenes snaps!

Diana's brother created the painting that became this gorgeous tote. And check out those pillows,

The foldy loafers are seriously the most comfortable flats I've ever worn. And they come in fun colors!

To say the showroom was phenomenal would be an understatement. Diana really wanted it to feel authentically like the brand she has worked so hard to create. And if the black walls, gorgeous mix of textures and the mason jar chandeliers are any indication, I would love to live in this brand forever. There was an interactive painting station, where visitors to the showroom could get creative and paint (using Diana's own painting supplies!!). She and her brother create the prints that then become blouses, dresses, bags and everything! How amaze!! 

In addition to the paint station, there was a professional photoshoot area, complete with a white backdrop for ladies to model their DW finds! They purposely did not put a mirror in the fitting room so that the shopping experience could be as interactive as possible. And who doesn't love the opinions of others when they are shopping!! I had a blast posing, in amazing dresses of course, for Diana and having her shout out "a** back girl, I know it feels awkward but it won't look like that in the picture I promise!!" All while songs like "Pour Some Sugar on Me" & a little Taylor Swift were playing, naturally. It literally felt like I was just hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends. Diana and her team really know how to make a gal feel gorgeous! 

If you are not familiar with Diana or the brand, get to it! I mean, with a tagline like #FashionShouldBeFun, how can you not fall in love?!

Hello February!!! I can't believe we are one month into 2015, and under 30 days till I am officially closer to 30 than 20. AH! Minor freak out will happen soon I'm sure. 

There are very few times when I actually wander around my hometown and appreciate how cool and completely gorgeous it is. I guess growing up in Savannah makes you immune to the beauty of Spanish moss in the trees, or a super old historic house. You see it and know its pretty, but don't really mention it. 

Recently though, since working with peeps who aren't from here, I have taken the time to stop and actually look. The details of this city are what makes it beautiful and makes me fall more in love. The ivy growing on the old homes, cobble stones that are not perfect, or exposed brick inside a restaurant. 

Much like my hometown, I like when outfits have those same unique details that make you take notice. Take this peplum top from Pink Blush for example. I am in LOVE with the bright floral print and that it is a perfect transition into spring top. It will look just as cute in April with a pair of super distressed denim cut offs, as it does with my new favorite jeans. 

And these shoes, y'all. I have never owned a more comfortable pair of flats ever in my life. No exaggeration. And they fold up to go into your purse, the perfect travel shoe. I had the awesome opportunity to visit the brand new Diana Warner showroom at the mart in Atlanta last week, and these beauties were just one of the many things I fell in love with.
