You're Invited!

I am beyond excited to announce that I am hosting, along with some of my fellow Savannah bloggers, a fabulous event at Belk in the Oglethorpe Mall next week! This is my first event as a blogger and I could not be more excited for it to be at my favorite department store. If you know me at all, you know I have never been a big fan of the department stores, however Belk always gets it RIGHT! Their shoe section is always on point.

Along with me serving y'all all kinds of genius styling advice, there will be sips from Southbound Brewery (an exciting moment for a self-proclaimed beer gal) and bites from Blowin' Smoke! Hashtag YUM!

When I got the event deets I will have to say, the celebrity guests had me fangirling like no other! The Look For Less (throwback I know) with stylists Chip & Pepper shaped much of my early fashion love and the fact that they will be at this #HappyHours GNO event makes me giddy!

The theme of the event is SoCal, so expect to hang ten and get ready to pose with surfboards and other killer props for the perfect selfie. There will also be a henna tattoo station, that is something I am super excited about! As well as fun giveaways and 20% off all night!

So basically what I'm getting at is that y'all need to mark your calendars now ladies and come out next Thursday, October 9th for a Girl's Night Out!

**Everywhere Society has provided me compensation for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own!**

She mighta let you hold her hand in school, but I'mma show you how to graduate.

And because I couldn't not show y'all a glimpse of my J. Crew....its perf. (insert peace sign emoji)

Cardigan • J.Crew Cropped tee • H&M Sweatpants • H&M
Tote • French Connection (similar) Sandals • Sam Edelman (similar)

Fall is here. WHOOP! The temperatures yesterday were downright chilly for this southern coastal gal. However, I did as any other fashionable lady would do, grabbed my sweater and sucked it up.

And even though my super adorable Brittany Fuson calendar tells me it is in fact no longer summer, one thing I know is to make sure your outfit is still versatile enough to withstand a sudden 80 degree afternoon. This is Savannah after all.

I was thinking fall football watching when putting this outfit together (with a red lip for my DAWGS of course). I am personally jumping into this fashion sweatpant like any couch lounger would.

I knew you were trouble when you walked in.

To say my last couple of weeks have been INSANE would be the understatement of the century. Some major movements have been happening that I so rudely left y'all out of the loop on!

I promised I would explain my absence from the blog today, well actually yesterday, but I guess it is better late than never. I have accepted a job to work at one of the best brands around. Savannah for years has been itching for this particular brand to make its way down south and grace us with her presence and FINALLY it has happened. J. Crew is now on West Broughton St. in downtown Savannah and you are looking at the brand new vPS (Very Personal Stylist).

EEEPPP! Excuse me while I squeal like a 5 year old girl. I am beyond excited to take this step into what I hope will be a long lasting career in the fashion world.

If y'all are ever in the Savannah area, or live here, come see me!! It's a gorgeous store and we can have all kinds of fun shopping together!

I apologize in advance for all the J. Crew you will be seeing in the near future.

Side note, a little about the outfit in this post. While it is the middle of September, we are still experiencing 90+ degree weather. Insane. So, I figured a little leather shorts were one way to at least pretend fall is on its way.

I actually have a way normal life for a teenage girl

Except that I am a budding late 20s year old. But I mean, in the wise words of Cher.....whatever!

Which is exactly who I am borderline channeling with this outfit, most specifically in the accessory that is this pepto-bismol colored fur bag I have a love/ confusion relationship with.

It was a gifted item from the #SBScon I went to in July, so it was not some random impulse purchase. Although it does remind me that in a world where most people just want to be comfortable with what they choose to buy and put on their bodies, we need to remember to have a little fun. To be a little ridiculous and not worry so much about what others will think.

While I was a sure to be called out as being "ensemble-y challenged" for this bag, I have now decided it's totes ok to be a little out there. To take a risk that maybe none of your friends are doing, to wear something out of your comfort zone, to go there. You would be surprised how many people will actually love it.

And for all the haters, I say. AS IF!

You can take the girl out of the honky tonk, but you can't take the honky tonk out of the girl.

This weekend was a complete whirlwind to say the least.

Started off with my LAST day at the realty company I was working at, more about my brand new big girl dream job tomorrow, went straight to the Boro to celebrate my little sister's 21st birthday!!! Y'all, I can't even handle it.

And then I was off to Charleston with one of my bests, Ashley, and her boo thang for a fun day/night in the adorable southern town. Complete with a tour of the Boone Plantation, which probs looks familiar if you are anything like me and have seen The Notebook one to many times. So, now I can say that Ryan Gosling and I have breathed the same air..... therefore we are like married.

Above are some of the shots we had wayy too much fun taking!

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post about my brand new job, working with one AMAZING brand.
