Shoes like these should not be locked in a closet, they should be living a life of scandal and passion.

I have found that sometimes you have to forget its a heat index of 109 degrees outside, grab a pair of cut-out booties and rock them. Apparently Savannah has no idea that it is almost September, and is continuing to dish out some outrageous temperatures.

But as I pour over the gigantic September issues of my favorite glossy magazines, I can't help but lust for the lushness of fall. Cozy sweaters, buffalo plaid and rich colors.

Until then, I'll continue to rock the cut off denim, and light weight fabrics. Sneaking in a bootie or sleeve in there somewhere.

Oh fall. A gal can dream right.

And because no shoot is complete without a little hair whipping, a outtake fit for Willow Smith.

Let's do a lap before we commit to a location.

So, ok. Here is the honest to goodness truth. I have never met a stripe I didn't love and swoon over. And this tee, at a cool $9.90 at Zara is no exception. A few weeks ago, after the fabulous Southern Blog Society #SBScon, I did what every gal who gets a gift bag the size of them full of the most amazing goodies does. I went to the mall and continued my bag hoarding.

And, of course, the entire mall was on sale. Literally every single thing was screaming my name. HELP ME. SAVE ME. PUT ME IN YOUR CLOSET.

So, I did. Again and again. Oops.

Now, this shopping excursion clearly shows I can be quite the impulse shopper.

Sometimes however, there will come a time when I mull over something. When I make a pro/con list, debate and debate, pine over Pinterest photos of really adorable girls who look just super cute in whatever the said item is.

This is how the chucks came into my life. After seeing all my favorite blogger gals in them, and my really cool sister rocking them, I decided to bite the bullet.

And I am so glad I did. Will definitely be sporting these bad boys well into the fall.

Every day's a fashion show mom.

Links for items in post were difficult to find, most items were on sale when purchased. So, I've chosen some of my favs!

There's not a whole lot that needs to be said about this stunner of a dress. Except for the face that I got it on sale at Zara for $20. And no, I did not just have a typo, blonde moment. I wish y'all could have been in the store with me the moment I saw, and then sprinted to the rack for this beaut.

A swing dress, super adorbs, not too long for my petite-ness, and LEOPARD. Um, I don't think I need to tell y'all that leopard is a neutral. I'm pretty sure we've had that convo over Starbucks tall hibiscus refreshers, but never the less, I am telling you again.

Y'all will be seeing this dress many, many times over. I'm thinking suede booties and a yummy leather jacket.

You're up, you're down, you're here, you're there, you're like a frickin' one woman circus.

Ring 9thandelm

Impulses. Everybody has them, and sometimes they are just too difficult to ignore. Most of my impulses tend to be fashion related.

They come in the form of accessories like this awesome turquoise ring from 9th and Elm. Do I really need it? No, I could live without it. I won't wear it every day, every week, every month. But sometimes you need to go with your gut and just get it. Because one day, its going to make an everyday outfit go from ordinary, to completely perfect.

Another item that can do that....a J. Crew panama hat with a neon stripe that you found on sale for $15. HOLLA.
